I work at a local hospital and deal with many patients daily. Last night something happened that makes me chuckle whenever I think about it. I walked up to a patient and before I could even introduce myself the guy screams "What are you?". I tell him my name and my department and he goes "No, what are you? Are you a dude or a chick?". And as I'm telling him that it's none of his business his friend walks in behind me and in a cheesy way says to me "Hey there sweety how you doin'?", which I just ignored.
The patient gets really pissed and wants to know why I was there, so I tell him. Once I found out everything I needed to know I was about to leave and the guy stops me and asks me again about my gender but much calmer than the first time, to which I told him to guess, then I walked out. As I was returning to my office I saw that the reason he was in the hospital was for psychological issues. All I could do was laugh.
