what to do....
Hi all, this is my first post here, and I, myself, am genderqueer (couldn't resist the badly metered rhyme).
I'm currently attending a university with a relatively strong lgbt community, whose main events are drag shows. Unfortunately, the trans community is being excluded from these events. If a person is M to F, they cannot participate in the drag king show, and vice-versa. This reflects the drag-dominated organization's veiled hostility towards the trans community (one of the board members compared lying about being trans to lying about having AIDS in the context of initiating sex). This worries me, especially because these events are the centerpiece of this community. What should I do?
