trans | A Poem

I wrote a poem on Valentines Day when I was feeling all soppy and smoochy!!

It is a tribute to my future boyfriend ... although I don't know who he is yet!!! It's also to highlight that although ftms and mtfs are so different, in many ways we're so similar. We have the same feelings of frustration when things are wrong, and then elation and affirmation when we come out and start living as we're meant to!

We know where we've come from;
We know our own journey.
In opposite directions, we'll meet on the way.

He wants what I've got;
He's welcome to it!
Neither of us wants what the other doesn't have.

He packs; I tuck.
I pad; he binds.
He shaves - so do I
but our reasons are different!

We're living, we're learning,
We're here for each other.
He feels GREAT!!
Me too!! :D

Personally, I think that little 'yay' face at the end really makes it!! What do you guys think?!!!
