Alright, so here's something different
I'm a huge fan of http://yaoi.y-gallery.net/. Hell, I post there all the time, but I've run across something I'm not too happy about and I'm wondering whether it'd be worth pointing out to the mods. You see, they've recently allowed trans men to be featured in the main gallery as long as their "non-traditionally-male genitalia" are covered by a strap on or what have you. Fine and dandy, right? Well, not really. You see, the general rule is: "Transgender or androgynous characters are allowed if they appear physically indistinguishable from male characters and identify as male." This is still technically not all too bad, BUT I take an issue with the fact that they are allowing a pre-op trans woman character: Isabella from the anime Paradise Kiss, to be featured in the main gallery when all other women must be featured under the Extras section. What I'm getting is the vibe that, "As long as this person has a penis, it's all good" and I'm honestly a little offended by it.
As I've said, they've only recently modified the rules for transgender characters, so I'm not sure if I want to push my luck by pointing out this little fallacy. The question is, if I do, how should I word my statement without sounding like a misogynistic jackass? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
