NH TREE SPRING SUMMIT 2003
Please join New Hampshire Transgender Resources for Education and Empowerment (NH TREE) for its First Annual Spring Summit! This day long conference will feature workshops, a keynote speaker, a poetry slam and a dance and drag king show! We are very excited to present this day to further the mission of NH TREE: increase transgender visibility, further social justice education, activism and organizing, and provide socializing opportunities for trans people and our allies.

Sunday April 27 Brunch at Acorn Restaurant in The New England Center 10:00-12:00 This day will feature LOREN CAMERON as our keynote speaker. Loren is a female-to-male (FTM) transsexual photographer based in the Bay Area of California and the author of Body Alchemy. Loren will present some of his stunning portraits of transgender people and show how he has used art to further our liberation.
In addition, we will have workshops on HIV/AIDS and the Trans Community, Culturally Induced Stress Disorder, Heterosexual Cross-Dressing, Creative Writing on Gender Issues, Transgender Legislation and Civil Rights, Un-doing Racism, and Others! A catered luncheon will be included at the Summit. Further, we will feature Gender Jam II--an Evening of Poetry and Spoken Word by, for and about the Queer, Trans, Allied and Feminist Communities. To top off the day, we will have the Gender Freedom Dance and Drag King Xtravaganza until Midnight. Minneapolis Kings Rico and Chase Meedown will be featured, along with local Kings. Optional events include dinner and a film Friday night and brunch on Sunday. ALL supportive persons impacted by gender issues and interested in social justice are encouraged to attend.
