trans | Experiences coming out as trans?

Hey transgender LJ friends!! I posted a few days ago looking for people outed when stealth in the workplace, but I'm switching gears a little bit, and am now looking for trans people's experiences around coming out to family/friend for one of my graduate summer classes! I need to do an interview, either in person (I am in MA) or over Skype/video chat. Project is due Aug 8, so interviews would be before then.
