Parents:The continuing saga (sorry- x-posted)

Ok...gave them the letter on Friday, came back Sunday, they (the parents) were pretending nothing was different and still calling me [birth name].Spoke to Dad tonight and he said both he and mum read the letter and weren't surprised by any of it but he said that he wasn't prepared to call me anything else or view me as anything other than his daughter. He said I could do whatever I liked outside the family but that was how it was going to be within the family.He also said that he was not prepared to acknowledge or support any decisions I'm making regarding my identity however he would accept that I have the right to make my own decisions.
He said he's not prepared to change his mind.
Should I be happy with this?
