The Phelps story continues
I'm sorry for the off-topic post, but I think many of us here are concerned by this, and the issue has also already been mentioned, soo...

anlaufzuende's earlier post about notorious gay-hater Fred Phelps' plans to erect a "monument" in the hometown of murder victim Matthew Shephard (http://www.livejournal.com/community/transgender/313614.html), an online petition has been created (http://www.petitiononline.com/mrphelps/petition.html) to prevent him from carrying out his plans that everyone is encouraged to read and sign.
It may not help much or make a difference, but at least it will make it clear that we're not intent on tolerating Phelps' expressions of hatred, no matter if christian or not, gay, hetero- or bisexual or anything. Thank you, everyone.
