name changes and residency
I want to change my name.
Unfortunately, I spend almost all my time at my college; I very rarely go home. I can't figure out whether I have to be a legal resident of the place where I am in order to change my name here. Because I don't want to have to go home to change my name; going home causes me quite a bit of stress, and having to deal with bureaucracy will only make it worse.
Details, if they're relevant - perhaps someone here has experience with one or the other of these places:
I "live" in Middlesex county, Massachusetts, in that I spend most of my time there;
but I believe I'm a legal resident of Gloucester county, New Jersey. (It's where my parents live, and I use it as a "permanent address" although I'm never there; I have a New Jersey driver's license.)
