(no subject)

I almost got "bashed-" at work, no less- for being trans.

Now, I pass, and pass quite excellently. However, my legal name is still the one I was born with, and, as such, my co-workers found out. As I work at a Dunkin Donuts to pay rent and tuition and stuff, my co-workers tend to not be the most mature, tolerant people. Some of them are still in highschool.

While I was working, a group of about eight highschool-age boys show up and order one drink. After the only other person on the clock punched out and leaves, about ten more of them show up.
They start doing stupid shit like pressing their asses against the window by the tables they're sitting at. Eventually, one of them starts singing a little chant that went something like "he-she, he-she, I dunno if it's a he or a she" or something equally juvenile. One of them kicks a chair a few yards across the dining place. At this point, I'm scared as hell, and the phone battery is dead. One of the kids starts creeping up to the door that would bring him around to the area behind the counter, where I'm standing.

Fortunately, it's a doughnut place, and the police show up to pick up some coffee and doughnuts.
They think I called the police, and all run away.

Now, I'm going to be scared every time I have to work alone, but really can't find another job- the only reason I was hired there is because the manager is from Vietnam, and Asian people generally don't see hating queer people as a cultural virtue.

Of course, I really will call the police if a bunch of asshole boys show up together again. But it will still bother me just to work.
