Hey guys, it's me again, the girl who was planning on going to Germany.
Note the was: I've decided there's no way I can afford to start transitioning and move to a foreign country. That's what I get for being a poor college student ^_^ I guess it came down to the fact that transitioning earlier is more important than living in Germany earlier (which I can always do after college). All that remains now is finding a good therapist.
One of the groups of people I still need to come out to are the high school friends. We've got a very interesting relationship.. everybody jokes around about sexual issues, so in our circle of friends you'll see guys hitting on guys just as often as on girls. The catch is that it's not sincere - they're mostly joking around when two guys slow-dance together. I've already been told several times, "You're such a girl!", so it's not like the idea of me being TS is foreign to them, but I don't think they've seriously considered it.
Our relationship with each other might be a plus, in which they're all really cool with it because we joke about it anyway, or it could be negative, in that they dislike the idea and use the jokes to cover up. I'm not sure what to think!
