Shared experience is a good thing

Just a quick note to everybody in this group, that a friend of mine has set up some forums online, which include a forum for discussion of trans-issues. This forum is 'hidden' so that only those people who specifically register with the site administrator can access it. We were thinking that it would be a possible resource for those either seeking answers to questions or to get advice from others who have trekked the long and winding road. It also provides a place where those who have trodden the path can share their experiences with others.

I know that the path we travel is difficult, and I thought that it would be useful to be able to swop experiences on an internet forum that is secure in this way. It is at: http://www.nobmouse.net/index2.html

Register to join the forum, then send a message to the administrator (Snowflake) asking to be added to the trans issues forum.

There are also forums dealing with LGBT issues at WayGay; a site for supporting students at Universities in the UK which is open to all, and may also be of help to people. The transgender sub-forum is at: http://waygay.org.uk/f/index.php?showforum=393

I think it is important that people should be able to talk to others, and learn that they are not alone and that there is help out there. I have realised this after many years that I spent struggling, and think perhaps I should put something back into the community by being able to talk with those who want to ask the questions and to learn from my experiences.

I hope people think these forums are a good idea and use them.

*hugs y'all*
