Name change -- now or later?

I'm thinking about changing my name. I'm just worried that I'll end up in a mess where I won't be able to hide my female self if I need to (say, to get a job or something) or whatever. I've been full-time and on hormones for a few months and have no intention of going back (this was a major issue in my life). So, do it now or wait a bit longer (until I pass, perhaps)?
