Hooked on Phone-ics worked for me!
Ya know, perhaps the most interesting aspect of working at call centers, where I spend the entire day on the phone, is that I have been very successful in developing a perfectly passable female voice that I can maintain for the entire day. I never even get questioned, anymore.
It's fabulous.
Turns out I have a kindof purring, soft alto and it really makes for interesting comments.
Older people especially comment on my voice, old women telling me I have the perfect voice for phone work, and old men telling me I have a very attractive voice.
But the thing that makes me giggle the most are the men (and occasionally women) who hit on me over the phone. I find that silly, but very uplifting.

P.P.S. I also posted this on break, waiting for time zone switches, because no amount of blatant sexuality or syruppy sweetness can make a person in Tennessee take a survey at 8:45pm.
