Transgender Social Event of the Summer

Looking for a great weekend away for you and your significant other? TransGender Michigan is hosting a getaway for trans folk and their partners. The weekend of August 5 - 7 come camping in beautiful Northeast Michigan. Activities can include: Volleyball, Badminton, a wonderful walk on a secluded private beach, Croquet, Horseshoes, and a Bonfire on Saturday night with music and dancing. For those that enjoy the indoors we have a large screen TV and DVD player for movies. Must provide your own tent and bedding. If you're allergic to cats -- bring your benadryl, we have lots. More information to be released closer to the event. This function is priceless, but would appreciate assistance with food expenses.  RSVP required by July 23 to sabby7985@yahoo.com A confirmation e-mail will provide directions, a tentative menu, and a "don't forget to pack" list.

 

TransGender Michigan Speakers Bureau Training

Because of the generosity of the Arcus Foundation through a grant to expand TransGender Michigan's educational endeavors, we are immediately in need of additional Speakers Bureau volunteers to educate about transgender identity and issues related to the transgender community.  TransGender Michigan will be conducting an all-day Speakers Bureau training for new volunteers on August 7, 2005 in Alpena.  Interested parties should contact CJ Tune-Copeland, Speakers Bureau Coordinator, at cjtunecopeland@comcast.net or 810-397-0909.
