Phaseshift Magazine
I have just done reading/listening/watching the new Phaseshift online Transgender magazine. I initially thought it might not be up to much, but, after spending an hour on the site I found it great. Lots of content (both trans and non-trans) including videos, text and audio. Some of the content is hilarious!
My only criticisms are, firstly, for a magazine that slates amynews.com for it's design, they really need to rethink their cluttered and busy background images as it makes the text almost impossible to read. Secondly, the site currently only works on IE 5.5 and above and you have to have Windows Media Player for the multimedia content. But their FAQs say they are working on that one which is good.
Currently access to the magazine is free for 4 weeks. However, after that they are changing to a subscription based system. Which at only £10 for 6 months isn't pricy and may well be very much worth it. I can only assume that as further advertisers and subscription money flows in that they will continue to improve the site.
I would definitely give this site 4 stars and a large fish. Check it out and see what you think.
