About QYAD Equality California Link
Join GSA Network, Equality California, and hundreds of youth activists for Queer Youth Advocacy Day in Sacramento at the capitol on March 6, 2006. Talk to lawmakers about what it's really like for LGBTQ students in CA schools. Lobby for safer schools legislation (AB 606) & help to end discrimination and harassment for all students in California.
Register for QYAD!
Register online to join us at Queer Youth Advocacy Day. All participants must be registered in order to attend. This includes all youth and adult advisors/chaperones. Deadline is February 20. All participants must also bring a completed permission slip.
Apply to be an Advocacy Day Leader
Youth Advocacy Day Leaders will receive a full-day of intensive training on Sunday, March 5th in order to lead the advocacy and lobbying on Monday, March 6th. By being an Advocacy Day Leaders, you will help facilitate dialogues between elected officials and youth. Deadline is extended to February 3rd. Apply online!

AB 606 passed the California Assembly and now moves on to the State Senate. You don't have to wait until Queer Youth Advocacy Day in March to start lobbying your lawmakers! Organize a letter-writing party and mail your concerns directly to the office of your Senator.

Transportation Info
GSA Network is coordinating FREE transportation to Queer Youth Advocacy Day. There are some plane tickets available. GSA Network is working with our many community partners to coordinate buses from the following locations on Monday, March 6th. Buses are scheduled to arrive in Sacramento by 9 am. Buses will leave Sacramento at 5 pm and return to their original locations for drop-off.
In order to secure a plane ticket or a seat on a bus, you MUST register first at www.eqca.org/advocacyday.
