Help!
So, I've been away from LiveJournal for awhile, but I'm returning to make a call for help.
I just got off the phone with my mom. Long story short, she said that she will never call me anything other than my given, female name and that she will never use male pronouns with me. She continued to say that she will not allow anyone to use male pronouns with me and that if I continue to live as male while I'm away in school, that they will stop financing my schooling and I will have to move home where they can monitor me and have me seeing a counselor every day. Additionally, I'll never be able to see my neices and nephews because she won't let me (this is assuming I manage to find a way to continue with this).
I'm currently trying to figure out what to do. I have a great relationship with my mom and this really hurts to have her telling me this. I'm looking for any and all suggestions because I have absolutely no idea what to do. I'm going to talk to a counselor first thing in the morning, but I don't know where to go from there...
If you'd prefer to email me with your suggestions, I can be reached at flaminguitars AT yahoo DOT com.
Thanks for any and all help. I know some of you out there have been through similar situations and some haven't, but everyone's thoughts are welcome.
