So another step forward for me.
I was doing a bunch of research on what I'd have to go through for my transition from male to female. And I decided that I'd like to start living full time as a woman before starting to see my therapist to get my note of recommendation for HRT. Just so y'know, I'd get adjusted to doing so before seeing her. In my opinion, the quicker I convince him/her I'm ready, the better.
So I spoke to my District Manager at work today ((I work for Starbucks)) and explained my situation and my decision, because if I'm going to live full time as a woman that'd obviously include work. She already knew about my transgenderism but I wanted to make sure she knew it was something I'm serious about. And so I explained that I wanted to start living full time as a woman and if it'd be okay at work too.
Well I adore this woman even more now. She said it'd be totally ok with her, but that she'd have to talk to her boss about it first before she said anything indefinately. She explained that she doesn't judge and that there are assholes in the world no matter who a person is, and she explained about what her brother went through when he came out as gay.
So honestly, any of you who need an extra job to raise money for costs, totally go to Starbucks. They rock with this kind of stuff.
