Questions about binding
Mar. 24th, 2007 07:12 pmHi,
I'm sort of FTM spectrum and sort of a cisgirl and sort of genderqueer. And sort of confused, I guess... But I'm posting because I have questions about binding and was hoping for some help. I've been binding almost every day for about the past 6 months and mostly it's been fine, except every once in a while I get scared that my breasts are going to fall off or my spine is going to collapse or something. Is anything super scary like that actually likely to happen?
My super awesome partners just got me a binder so I'm not using Ace bandages anymore, which I think is good because they seemed to be smooshing my body in some not-so-healthy ways. I have some back pain issues, but I can't tell if they're binding related because I've always had them to some extent and I don't think they're getting incredibly worse. Also, my family has a history of breast cancer and I'm wondering if that's something to worry about in relation to binding. I'm not planning on getting surgery, so I'm hoping that I'm heading somewhere sustainably.
Thank you for any advice...
