A question for all of you

transHave any of the FTMs here ever looked at the MTFs and thought, even slightly, "Geez, why would anyone want to be a woman? I don't understand it at all!"
Conversely, have any of the MTFs here looked at the FTMs... and thought.... "Who'd want to be a man?"
As an FTM, even though I've always considered myself very open-minded and understanding, I have caught myself on occasion thinking such slanted thoughts, surprising for someone you'd think would understand what it's like to fight for recognition as their correct gender. I once expressed my puzzlement to my lovely, making exactly the first statement up there. He paused, chuckled, and answered: "You don't understand, because you're not a woman!"
I find it hilarious. I'm glad I've since nipped this little bit of narrow-mindedness in the bud.
