transHey everyone.
I need a bit of help. For those of you who have changed your legal names, what do you answer on employment applications that ask if you've gone by other names in the past? If you omit old legal names, could a background check screw you over? If not in private employment, then how about in government employment?
Also, what do you write in that space on housing applications?
I'm trying to find a place to live and this is all a concern for me. I may also have to apply for jobs in the near future. Please let me know what you've done for this.
