Painful Erections Under HRT

transHey everyone,
I've been on HRT for about 7 months. Recently when I get erections, I experience a stinging sort of pain in the ring/frenulum area of my penis (the ring below the head). It's not painful enough to keep me from going, though. Then also last night I felt a sort of quiet pop like a knuckle cracking and then I felt something like a small bead move underneath the skin in the little area.
What the hell? After I came, it stopped hurting. And nothing looked abnormal. I'm seeing my doctor in about two weeks so I will discuss it with him then but does anyone have any idea what this is?
