Anti-bullying curriculum

I'm a mom of a transgendered kid. This is a local issue, but if you or anyone you know happens to live in Alameda, CA, you can make a difference to transgendered kids by supporting some school board members who face a recall over anti-bullying curriculum. A few parents objected to the inclusion of a unit on LGBT families and people because parents could not "opt out." I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but the families who want to opt out are exactly the families who need the lesson in tolerance/acceptance (not to mention basic respect and kindness). The support is easy to do. If you're an Alameda voter, go to this website and sign the online petition:
