Oct. 27th, 2009 11:07 amHey everyone, my name is Dorian, and I am a transgender student at Montclair State University (Montclair, NJ). Recently, there have been several bias incidents that have happened on my campus. A threatening note was slipped under the door of our LGBT center, and last Tuesday, my friend Travis (who is also ftm) was attacked on campus. He overheard someone making light of the bias incident and saying hateful things, so he told him to knock it off and was punched and kicked and called a "dyke".
As a response to these awful incidents, our LGBT Center staff has come together in solidarity to make this video. I invite you all to check it out.
A message to everyone out there: Please do not be afraid to stand up for yourself. We need to be there for one another and spread love.
