Dr. Lucretia Vandenberg, Victoria, BC
Feb. 8th, 2010 07:47 pmA little intro as I haven't posted in about 2 years. Robyn, pre-everything FTM, much to my chagrin.
All right, since I'm pre-T I still get 'that time of the month'. I get EXTREME pain for about 4 days prior and 3 days during. Usually take too many extra-strength advil a day. Anyways, I went to see my doctor today, he told me that isn't exactly normal (the pain, that is). I told him I want to STOP bleeding once a month. He's going to refer me to Dr. Vandenburg in Victoria, BC. My doctor knows I'm trans and is going to tell Dr. Vandenberg that.
I was wondering what should I expect from seeing her. I have never seen an endocrinologist before. And what she's like. I haven't heard of her before.
Also, my doctor wants to (maybe) put me on some kind of injection to stop my monthly 'friend' that may cause my bones to become more brittle. I was wondering if maybe testosterone would be better?
Sorry if this is confusing (I don't write on LJ a lot, or anywhere for that matter :S). And thanks for any help!
