Hello everyone!

 I feel a bit more at ease now that I have created this blog. My other LJ is bloginthelifeof and over time I allowed more and more 'real life' friends to see it. I don't really regret that as it has only really been positive. However, I feel I can't post about lots of the trans issues I want to post because I don't want certain people to be able to read them.

 Therefore, this account is going to be my new 'trans' account where I can post freely about what I want without worry. I also realised that over time I gradually became less involved with the communities on here and fear I have missed out on meeting many new people!

 So to the many people who are members of this community, I wish to say hello! My name is Elodie, I am 17 years old and live in England. I'm currently in the fun interesting process of starting my medical transition and am learning so much about myself in the process. Speaking to other trans people has helped me so much over the last few years and I would like that to continue.

Transgender Group to Boycott Pride London 2009 March and Rally

TransLondon, London's largest support group for trans, genderqueer and other gender-variant people has announced that the organisation is to boycott the Pride London 2009 parade and rally over what its members see as negative stereotyping of trans people by the Pride board, a lack of representation, and ongoing disappointment over the poor way Pride dealt with their own stewards refusing entry to the female public toilets at last year's rally to a number of trans women, at least one of whom was then sexually assaulted on being made to use the male toilets.
