Telling Parents - X posted, sorry

transOk I need to tell my parents because I want to change my name and know that if I did it behind their back they'd shut me out.I tryed but my mum just went nuts about the name change thing, didn't even get to tell her what I want to change it to, or explain my idenetity!

But anyway, need to tell them, thinking I'll write them a letter and give it to them on Friday (It's Wednesday here now). I'm going away for the weekend so they'll have some time to themselves to read it.
But anyway, have hit a block as to how to explain things, unfortunately my girfriend still has my copy of True Selves but then I don't know if they'd be in the space to read it anyway.Don't want to overload them.
If it seems like it I am in a bit of a rush to change my name, I'm graduating my current course end of this year, got to get my application in for next year end of October, want my new name on it, I already have references as Cam.So I need to do it.BUT I know I can't rush my parents.
Anyone got examples of actual letters or emails they wrote their parents? Looked at the posts in Newtrans on coming out but haven't found any yet.
Any input would be much appreciated.
