a few months ago one day, i wandered into some yahoo crossdressing clubs. the clubfounder posted an entry apologising for having to remove a few members' pictures because the club was only dedicated to "only the best looking, passing crossdressers." well, i logged on and went to look at all the pictures and know what? they all looked like guys with wigs.

as a transvestite who never attempted to pass in anyway, it didn't really apply to me. what bothered me was the recurring social pattern of the clique mentality. to me, passing people singling out non-passing people, then booting them from their club is no different than the tyranny of the beautiful people.

the joke here is that one could very well pass as an ugly looking girl.

as a male transvestite, i ask myself, "do i want to pass as a ugly looking girl? or do i want to just be my old fabulous self in a dress?"

personally i think not passing is important. it opens up a wide range of possibilities. i got an email from someone who said, "i was so focused on passing, i never gave a thought to a guy in a dress. now that i've seen your website, i say, 'hey, why not?!"

hey.

why not.
