so, update.

things are going well.
the sexologist i saw wrote up a detailed report on me.
i talked to my family doctor (this guy delievered me when i was a baby :b) who was completely supportive and is actually treating another transgendered male, so he knows exactly what to do to get me where i want to be. he refered me to a psychiatrist, who is going to call the clarke institute in toronto and see about sending me there in may or june for a day long assessment type thing.
i have another appointment with said psychiatrist next week to make sure he called the place and to get more details and whatnot.

my mom finally told my father, who isn't quite as understanding as she was (not in the sense that he thinks it's bad or anything, but moreso that he hasn't been exposed to quite so much of this sort of thing as my mom has been, and he's willing to learn), but he said he wasn't surprised and he is accepting. he thinks hormones are a bit extreme for now, but if that's what i need to do, he's fine with it. and he wasn't upset about not being told or anything either ('you've been seeing all these doctors and haven't told me?! grawr!'), so that's a huge relief.

this is going a lot smoother than i thought it would go.

um. while i'm at it, has anyone had any experiences with the clarke institute in toronto?
