transMmmm. Today was a good day. Well.. not weather wise, but eh.
We (my girlfriend and I) had the day off from school because it was between semesters but neither of our parents knew. So we had her mom drop us off at school and we snuck off to the beach. The day started off as sunny but then actually got really rainy.. <.< First we went to Horton Plaza and walked around. We got there an hour before anything opened so we wandered a bit. Telan looked for shoes but the only ones she liked were 65$. Heh.
With my trying to pass as often as I could (Full time except for a few days every few weeks when I don't have time to shave) I was planning to wear a bikini. Unfortunately, today was not my day. By the time we got to the ocean, it was already drizzling and soggy. I was cold enough with the shorts. <.< But after a little bit we walked up to the Hotel Del Coronado and we both needed to comb our hair and look nice because it was really windy.
Turns out every other woman in the hotel needed to, as well. I go into the bathroom slightly nervous and set my bag down at the counter and we both start combing and trying to look like we didn't just come out of a leaking tumble dryer... Then I had to wait to use the actual stall and people smiled at me and one person said in reference to me "I don't know if she's waiting in line... Are you in line?" and someone else even said my shirt was cute. ;_;
That was really the first time I ever really felt completely confident that I was passing. Sure, Telan tells me if I look horrible.. but I'm around her all the time. And people online say I'm fine, but they only see pictures. But today other people actually conversed with me and referred to me as "she" and a girl... with a cute shirt. ^^ It made me so happy...
