On Transvestism: Current Writings 2005

I have completed my annual installation of Current Writings On Transvestism on my website. In the interest of other mtf transvestite-identified readers here, I am including a link to that page. It has only recently come to my realization that there's an outlaw quality to the label transvestites, that provides an all-too-easy route for folks to dismiss the lifestyle as married men in garter belts in search of thrills in cheap motels. I try to give it a deeper treatment in my writings. Anyway, much of it consists of my meditations on transvestite dating and why the term has appealed greatly to me (as a creative vehicle) since the age of seven when I started dressing. Some of it may apply to other groups in the transgender community. It's important to remember that no matter how you see yourself, the trans-ignorant public often lumps us all in the same group.
