Test reveals gender early in pregnancy

I knew this was inevitable (in a Technology and Society course I took a few years ago we discussed this exact ethical issue) and I'm not sure how this will pan out for gender variant people. We don't know for sure what causes GID/TSism and when in development is the most critical period for sexual differentiation, but with this test saying it can detect free fetal DNA at 5 weeks, we are definately opening a can of worms. And not just any worm, a new kinda worm that we don't understand. No where in this article is GID/TSism mentioned, only gender selection issues, so I'd assume no one working on this has even considered the ramifications for us.
