this is the first transcentric play party that sf has had.

The Big Screwup Play Party is a BDSM party for transgender folks, queers, genderqueers, and our friends and allies of all genders. All ages (18+ that is), all races, all kinds of folks welcome.
SCREWUP is having a BIG PARTY

Screwup has been hosting Do-It-Yourself BDSM skill-shares each month for over two years and the San Francisco Bay Guardian recently awarded screwup Best of the Bay 2005 for Outsider Education. The Big Screwup Play Party is a BDSM party for transgender folks, queers, genderqueers, and our friends and allies of all genders. All ages (18+ that is), all races, all kinds of folks welcome. If you think a diverse play space where all sorts of genders, bodies, sex-styles and play styles are welcomed and celebrated sounds hot, then this is the party for you!

Screwup is going to be having this big huge party on the Saturday of Folsom Weekend. The date is September 24th, 2005.

It starts at 8pm and ends at 2am.

It's going to be on the 2nd Floor of the Center For Sex And Culture at 398 11th Street (at Harrison). We're very fortunate that the Center has offered to co-sponsor this event.

there is a suggested donation of $5-$15, but no one should feel uncomfortable coming in free since no-one will be unwelcome due to lack of funds. we'd rather have you and your sexy fun energy than worry bout money. all the funds go to reimburse the screwup folks who dug deep into their pockets to make this happen. any extra will be decided upon publicly.

The restrooms are gender neutral for the night. No alcohol or drugs and no smoking anywhere in the building. If you have accessibility needs, we would like to speak with you – could you please contact us? We want to try to make this party accessible to as many people as possible so PLEASE DO contact us.

Screwup is Do-It-Yourself, and this is going to be one hot party because of the volunteers who make it happen. We still need tons of volunteers. We need folks to help do set-up and clean-up. People with cars, vans, and trucks to transport equipment, supplies, and whatnots. People who are friendly and personable and able to talk to people for coat check. People who are good at introducing people and making people feel welcome for hosts and ambassadors. People who can hand out flyers. People who can publicize to your friends and the groups you are part of. People to help with decorations and props.

There are several transportation options for getting to the party. Take any MUNI metro and get off at the Van Ness station. If you’re riding BART, get off at Civic Center station and take any MUNI metro one stop to Van Ness. From the Van Ness station, walk or ride up to the street level and catch the Muni 47 Outbound at South Van Ness and Market. Or you can walk the five city blocks down 11th to the party. From Cal Train, catch the Muni 47 Inbound at 4th and Townsend. The last Caltrain leaves San Francisco at 1:30 AM and the last Pittsburgh/Baypoint BART leaves San Francisco at 12:15 AM. The MUNI underground, BART, and the CalTrain are wheel accessible. We do NOT recommend that you park a car near the party. There is a parking garage under Costco, which is located at the intersection diagonal to the play party, at Harrison and 11th. It costs $10 to park from 8:30 PM to 2:30 AM.
