Hair transplants/grafts?

transJust wondering if anyone here has any experience with US-Based doctors who do hair transplants/grafts. I've been poking around all over the 'Net, and prices seem to be all over the place. Obviously I have to go in for a few consultations to get a proper ballpark range of what to expect to pay, but I'm just curious if any other folk here have had any experiences that stand out (Good or bad) or know if any doctors that have good deals? I'm looking to stay in the US (Midwest or East Cost please) for the most part.. Maybe Canada-land if they have good deals up there.

Bonus-Super-scary-hairline-pic. Ignore my wretched acne, poor lighting, 30-year-old skin, etc. This is what I have to deal with. A 1" or so dent of missing hair on my left side. Right side has probably less than a 1/4" gone, and the front part of the hairline has not receded at all. I just have a rather large forehead. I'm hoping to get this "dent" filled in for less than $3k or so. I've heard that they can also do scalp advancement, but that just seems a bit scarier and/or riskier?
