This is a set of questions for those of us who identify as Pagan of some sort about Rites of Passage in relation to gender.

I've been pondering a question for myself, whether I would like to ask the Pagan Church I am a member of for a rite of passage denoting my transition. And as I suspect I will be the first to ask this particular Church for this, I had a few questions for others.

Have you participated in the rites of passage considered appropriate to your identified gender?

For those identifying as women, have you gone through or wanted to go through Maiden, Mother, or Crone rites?

For those identifying as men, have you gone through or wanted to go through Manhood, Father, or Sage rites?

For those identifying as not participating in the binary gender system, did you want, ask for, create,or receive Rites of Passage you felt appropriate to what you identify as?

If you did receive any of these rites, how did they make you feel?

If you didn't receive a rite or rites after you asked, where did you go from there?

Did you want the rites and feel afraid to ask?

Did you feel that you did not want the rites because you did not feel them to be correct for you?

Have you gone through or did you want to go through some or all of both sets of rites?

Did you want, ask for, or create a rite or rites to honor stages of your transition?

If you created your own rite or rites, or had such created for you, would you honor me by sharing?

Would you like to see rites created that honor stages of transition?

Would you like to see gender-free rites of passage created that honor different life stages?

Would you rather be allowed to choose freely from the existing rites such as those named above?

I have noted the posts about the binary nature of Wicca, and I would like to address this issue with my generic Pagan but quite Wiccish Church.

Oh, and if anyone has any ideas of other places to which I should cross-post this question, do chime in.
