Question.

Fairly basic, I think. I'm currently a few months into HRT, as follows:
1mg estradiol oral daily, 100 mg prometrium oral 2x daily, 200mg spironolactone 2x daily.

Now, I'm also a chronic pain sufferer. Namely, acute TMJ syndrome. I've been to the ER twice on this in the last 2 months, the pain simply being far too much for me to bear. And my GP is fairly exhausted at this point. I have a referral pending to the Stanford Pain Clinic, but their intake is 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, my GP's have thrown almost EVERYTHING at this for pain relief.

Now, the question. Has anyone else ever had any problems wherein, after starting HRT, you find yourself unable to take any form of opiate based painkiller? Previous to HRT, I didn't have much to use such for, but when I did, they did not make me violently nauseous, as has been the case for the last several months.

Anyone ever run into this before?

I've tried:
Vicodin, puked.
Oxycontin, puked.
Darvocet, muscle spasms and puked.
Morphine Sulfate, puked.
Tramadol, works for about 1 day out of every 7-9, but is otherwise completely ineffective. But no puking.
Dilaudid, IV and injection. Worked, but rendered me non-functional. No puking, but it seems that I only get this when I go to the ER.
And finally, recently started on Fentanyl patch at 25mcg and then 50mcg. When I moved to 50mcg, the nausea kicked in hard.

Anti-nausea medications are completely ineffective with any of the above.

Here's hoping that someone has some experience here.

Thanks!
