Hello. Have to get some routine and minor surgery to remove a scar tissue hunk from my hip this upcoming Thursday.

Problem/fears being while the doctor who is removing is it aware and cool with my transgender status, And so is the nurse who called to set me up.. Well I don't know how everyone else will react. I've been on hormones for a year, but I have a sort of a boy haircut / mullet (It's awkward looking right now and growing out.) I've also had some breast growth (low dose of hormones equals about half an A cup) So it's going to be pretty noticeable when I have to put n the hospital gown-thingey that my tiny boobs are going to stick out (Since as of right now, i still present as a boy for work/life purposes.) Any one else have to deal with this, and what were the reactions of the medical professionals attending you?

I'm probably moreso freaked out, since this is my first time really ever in the hospital for more than five minutes. They say this whole thing will take 5 hours from admission until I get out. I guess I just go in, the IV my arm, and then give me something that makes me go to "twilight" 9Whatever that may be) and then cutting the little scar off will take them about 15 minutes. after that, it's lay in the recovery room until I feel less groggy and my GF and take me home.

Yes I know, It's really stupid for me to be scared of a 5 hours surgery, when eventually I'll probably have to have a bit of FFS and and SRS done, years down the line. But dammit some people don't like heights, or enclosed spaces, or whatever.. I'm afraid of doctors. (Which is even more bizarre since I work for a large hospital group.)

Thanks.
