There was plenty of good advice there, but I still feel like I need a second opinion. My thought is to just buy a new card (it's an American Express card) with my own money, and give that to my parents. My mom will know that I did that, but my dad won't have to. This way, I have by proxy bought my girl clothes with my own money, and gotten boy clothes with the gift card. So, really, everyone gets what they want, though my mom will obviously be disappointed that I lied about spending it.
Any other plans that could reduce the amount of angry, or is that the best I can dig out of the rut?
