Well just yesterday (tuesday, Oct 3rd) My shrink and I went through our session and at the end she asked me the same question she asked me every time at the end of it,"So what help do you want from me?"

which I said,"Well at this point I am looking to get the referal letter to start HRT." to which she replied,"And after that? In the long term what would you like?"

I fallowed with,"Well I have a strong support group but I want to make sure I have professional guidence to help make sure I don't go totaly wacko."

She laughed and nodded and said,"Well do you have a doctor chosen already to admister the hormone treatments?"

"No, I don't have one yet."

"Ok, well DJ (the name I use right now outside of malename and Wynne, the name my friends call me), you have have shown to me that you are not happy with your male body and you are mentaly female. You need to find a Doctor now that can assist you with HRT and when you do, I will give you your referal letter."

So at this point I left there especaily perky and happy, not so much I found because I get to start HRT but because of the validation that I am not crazy and this is real and I am not making things up. Something about a professional saying so. Later yesterday I had a long talk with my mom, it was the first time in a very long time I actualy felt she listened to me for once as she had me explaine why I feel I am female and why my shirnk agreed. I think she is finaly comming to the realization that she really don't know me as well as she thought she did.

So on for the next big challenge.... I have a meeting with the Assioate Director (AD) of my department and HR over my future with the company, including things involving me transissioning. My AD knows, we had a private meeting about it last week, Thursday we actualy address where things go from there.

So does anyone got some tips on what to do from here? I already got some about finding Doctors but any more tips I can get will be great. I am on a OAP (its like a PPO but better) and I have yet to find a PCP though I trust enough to work on me.
