Hysterectomy problems in CA

transI am scheduled for a hysto/ooph on may 31, but today, I learned something that made my heart drop.
The consent form that I signed said that I was 21. When my mom and I noticed this, she called the surgeon, who then said that she'd do some research and check state and federal law and the 'standards of care' to see if it was all right. I am ninteen.
Anyone under 21 been able to (legally) have a hysterectomy in CA, or does anyone know anything on this topic, or at least point me in the right direction? I don't want to deal with PMS and periods from hell for two more years.
