May. 27th, 2007 09:21 pmI was looking up transgender politicians on Wikipedia, and both Vladimir Luxuria and Susan Stanton are referred to consistantly with male pronouns.
I'm tempted to change both, if it would be appropriate. Has Stanton officially started using female pronouns yet? I know the original plan had a set date and people were requested to continue to use "he" until that point. And does anyone know if Vladimir Luxuria, the Italian trans politician, prefers male or female pronouns?
Edit: Since Susan has started using female pronouns in public, I'm going to change the article about her. I dunno about changing the pronouns in the sections referring to her life pre-transition, though. I don't want to encourage the common idea that trans people "become women/men" through hormones or surgery or whatever, but I also don't want to go against Susan's wishes, and I'm not sure what she wants for such stuff.
