Call for Submissions: Stories of Sex and Gender Diversity (Australia)
A book of personal stories is being put together by Dr Tracie O'Keefe DCH and Katrina Fox, to be published by Jossey-Bass, the publishers of True Selves. We are looking for stories to include from people of all sex and gender diversity presented in their own words -- transsexual, transgender, intersex, third gender, those who identify as having no sex or gender etc.
Stories would need to be around 5000 words and original - i.e., not published anywhere else nor about to be. Contributors will receive a free copy of the book when it is published and can use pseudonyms if they do not wish to be identified.
The book will be published internationally by a major publishing house and will contain many perspectives from different parts of the world and give those who previously did not have a voice the chance to tell others how it is and was for them, free from any academic or theoretical rhetoric.
Anyone interested in contributing, please contact Tracie or Katrina with a brief summary of their story and for further information.
E-mail info@tracieokeefe.com, call +61 (0) 2 9326 6603 (Australia) or write to:
