I'm completely out to (most) everyone in my family - not everyone "gets" it, but they're aware what's going on and just want me to be happy.

My issue is my sister's kids - nobody has talked to them and, well, I'm not Uncle Ethan anymore. They're 6 & 9 (I think). I'd imagine they'd be surprisingly cool with "I'm a girl now and my name is Erin", but this opens up a whole new can of worms when they put 2 and 2 together and ask why I have a girlfriend.

My sister is conservative and her kids are pretty sheltered. Anyone have tips on how to come out to kids? I'm going to sit down with my sister first and see what the kids know, etc. I might talk to the kids seperately - my nine year old niece can process things that would just scare or confuse her six year old brother.

So, anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to talk to them this weekend.
