I'm newish to this group and despite what my profile says i've been on LJ for years. I've run into a few issues and unfortunately had to make a different account for communities like this (its a long messy story that i won't bore you with just yet). No my real name is not Zoot it was a nickname from the muppets.I rejoined because I have a few questions.
I live in south texas and i've managed to get 80% of my transition done. ( http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee143/evil280zx/new.jpg ) I've managed to get my letters and I've been me since November of 04. my body naturally produces enough T to give me squared features and facial hair but i'd like to start on injectables. The problem i've run into is i can't find a doctor willing to prescribe them to me. Every one i've found only works with MTF's. Does anyone know of a doc around the San Antonio area that can help?
Also a year before i started my transition i found out that ovarian cancer runs in my family. i had to go in and have cysts removed. I opted to just have the full hysto done then but since i was a minor and my mom wants grandkids the doc gave her the fina say, claiming that since i was a minor i'd change my mind later in life. But now i've hit a brick wall with that issue, the pain and the cysts are back but most doctors won't see me because I'm trans and insurance wont cover it claiming i'm just using it as a loop hole to get the hysto done. I'm not sure what to do now but its hit the point that i'm taking 3-4 800mg ibueprofen or more a day.
any suggestions at all would be great.
