Teachers

Hello, I'm Aethan. I had another account ([profile] vampire_elli ), but moved to this one because of the name switch. I'm FTM, pre-T, and live as male full time.

Anywho, I was posting because it's still close to the beginning of the school year. I've corrected several of my teachers and some of them call me Aethan, and others just don't care enough to get to know their students. Which, is okay, because it's a college prep school and most college professors (from what I understand) don't get to know their students personally.

I'm wondering what to do in situations in which my teachers call me "Miss," or use feminine pronouns as they sometimes do. I'm not really sure how to correct them, as I'd rather not interrupt class time to make a correction, and I don't have a great relationship with most of my teachers in the first place. This same thing also happens with my classmates (I indicate at the people I'm not close friends with, and most of the people at my school are very religious).

I feel quite at a loss because I identify and live as male, but don't know how to handle these people even though one use of my female name or a feminine pronoun feels like a knife has been slipped between my ribs...

Any advice would be much appreciated. =]
