Dating in the "straight" world

transHi all,
I am an FTM who has been dating queer women who already know about FTMs. I have heard from friends that I should venture into the straight world and try to date women there. I have FTM friends who are dating and/or married to "straight-identified" women who were never in the queer community before. I am a little bit terrified to do this especially considering I am a queer activist and I can't imagine even one date with someone without telling them about that part of my life.
Any advice, thoughts, suggestions from anyone would be so appreciated!
