Call for submissions!
Jan. 24th, 2003 04:41 pmMy wife and I are putting together a transgender-oriented 'zine tentatively called TRANSFUSION. It will be 5.5" x 8.5", on non-glossy white paper with a black and white cover. Each issue will run between 40-50 pages.
We're looking for fiction, non-fiction, prose, poetry, artwork, reviews, erotica, horror--basically ANYTHING that's tranny-positive. (Which is not to say that all submissions have to be upbeat, they can focus on hate crimes or the loss of family/friends/etc. due to transitioning, I just don't want anything with an anti-transgender message.)
Contributors would retain ALL rights to any of their work that's published in the 'zine.
Right now, there's no deadline for submissions because I'm probably going to have to take it slow (especially since I'm on the staff of another 'zine), but I hope to have the first issue out by summertime.
So far, confirmed contributors include Poppy Z. Brite and Daphne Gottlieb.
I can be contacted at maddy_bites @ excite dot com. (Take out the spaces, and substitute "." for "dot.")
Please feel free to pass on this information to anyone that you think might be interested in submitting work.
