Call for submissions!

My wife and I are putting together a transgender-oriented 'zine tentatively called TRANSFUSION. It will be 5.5" x 8.5", on non-glossy white paper with a black and white cover. Each issue will run between 40-50 pages.

We're looking for fiction, non-fiction, prose, poetry, artwork, reviews, erotica, horror--basically ANYTHING that's tranny-positive. (Which is not to say that all submissions have to be upbeat, they can focus on hate crimes or the loss of family/friends/etc. due to transitioning, I just don't want anything with an anti-transgender message.)

Contributors would retain ALL rights to any of their work that's published in the 'zine.

Right now, there's no deadline for submissions because I'm probably going to have to take it slow (especially since I'm on the staff of another 'zine), but I hope to have the first issue out by summertime.

So far, confirmed contributors include Poppy Z. Brite and Daphne Gottlieb.

I have a great idea for us. If you have something you'd like to trade for or sell then come post an add at my site. Just click on the link under my picture and place an add. I just ask that you take it down once you've made the deal so we can keep it up to date.

Some ideas I have:

If you have extra binders, clothes, packn stuff or other items you'd like to sell or trade go for it. If your good at making something you think could sell then try it out.

I also would like to use it to set up some book tradeing so that we can read books and not have to pay the new price for them. So if you have extra books laying around put up an add for them and request something.

Some suggestions would be to leave as much info as possible, use a picture if you think it's needed. Tell the condition if it's important. And be clear about payment options, because I'm not solving any arguments about the adds. On that note anything I feel might cause a problem on the site I reserve the right to take down.

If all goes well I'll post once a month on different boards with an update of new items. I won't do this annoying crossposting thing on all of them at the same time.
