Feb. 7th, 2011 08:32 pmThis is ripped straight out of my personal Lj, hope you don't mind. Just wanted some feedback. Mainly because no one loves me enough to read my blogs! LOL
For the record I am on 2mg of Progynova (which sounds like an eastern european space agency to me) daily! I should also like to point out that in my childish silly moments I have taken to calling them my Magic Boob Candy! Despite this I am being sensible with them and they were prescribed to me by a specialist!!
Also, in other news, today marks three complete weeks on the hormones. Things I have noticed in the course of taking them are as follows;

Also, in other news, today marks three complete weeks on the hormones. Things I have noticed in the course of taking them are as follows;
- Facial hair has slowed in growth. This is a positive.
- Emotional mood swings. This is a negative. The old unstable emotional me has come back and it seems to have come back with force.
- My OCD/Paranoia seems to have returned as well which means my panic attacks have resurfaced. Most certainly a negative.
- Dry skin. My hands just feel a little bit dry and my back itches a little. Something I was told to expect by the specialist. Combating this is easy. Just taking more fluids and plenty of moisturizing.
- Fat Face!! OK, this isn't as bad as I make out. A friend says it's just the face softening because of fat redistribution. So this is a positive.
- Hungry/Thirsty. Not sure if it's related but it is worth noting that I have been hungry and thirsty more often during the day. And where I use to be able to ignore it, I find it more irritating now and I need to go eat. I never ignore thirst though, always got a cup of tea to sort that problem out.
- Cravings! Mainly for really sugary things. Junk food.
- Not sure how to describe this one but lets just say I don't seem to feel the cold much anymore. Before if my flat was below a certain temperature I felt cold. But the past week despite the ambient room temp being below my comfort level I haven't felt cold. I have even had to kick the duvet off a couple of times or go to bed wearing shorts.
- Sense of touch. Every now and then, I can't help but touch something. And things I'm use to, feel strangely different somehow. It's like my fingers are really sensitive sometimes. I swear I could feel every scratch in one of my drinks glasses the other day. Not something I'd usually notice
- Finally, my chest itches where my nipples are. Again this was something I was told to expect.
